DIMA (DIspatch MAnagement) allows users to better plan their dispatch requirements – working with sales orders, creating loads/trips – in order to optimize outbound processes in the warehouse. Pre-planning loads (taking into account truck and trailer capacities, delivery schedules etc.) allows us to wave and fulfill demand in a more controlled and optimal way.
The Dispatch Manager has a real time overview of how the loads are generated (containers created in the WM module) and can work with and adjust loads up to the physical truck load – allowing flexibility e.g. for last minute orders. Customers typically are lowering their stock levels which results in a higher number of orders, with smaller quantities, to the warehouse. This in turn increases the probability of orders not being delivered in an optimal way – e.g. requiring more than one trip to the same client on the same day. With DIMA the Distribution Manager can monitor and adjust loads so all deliveries to the same client get on the same truck/trip.
DIMA also has a mobile client for the driver, who can scan collies in and out of his truck – this includes signature capture as a real time proof-of-delivery, using a mobile device or Smartphone. DIMA can work with both SCALE and WMOS – all linked together via Nobex’s Supply Chain Broker.
